Episode 0008

Leaning In Together

Linda Brandt promotes worksite wellness as a part of a team at Hennepin County Public Health Promotion. In that role, she supports healthy organizational cultures through sharing low- and no-cost resources. In her free time, she founded and co-manages a growing chapter of Lean In circles inspired by Sheryl Sandberg's book Lean In. The group has grown from 12 people almost 4 years ago to over 2,100 currently.

During Linda's episode, we get into the best discussion! We talk about the importance of involving men in our work toward gender equality. We talk about how to be an ally for other women and support their passions, and the importance of knowing what you want and negotiating for it.

This week, I challenge you to be on the lookout for women who are expressing their passion. Encourage them. Be there for them. Help push other women to work toward achieving their biggest goals.
